Good post Alex,

Yes, shame about your experience with some of the leading job boards - I think we all hoped it would be better by now.

I'm still thinking what might happen if I hired a 'stella' candidate. Would they beat me??

Best to you,

Mike

When people asked me what my dream job looked like (aside from being Chief Tester in a mattress factory), I would tell them 'A key role at a start-up company with a great product/service, run by people who I respect and trust'. Hey presto - dream job arrives. I could say that I've always 'HARBOURed' this desire, fnar fnar.

Looking forward to rolling my sleeves up and seeing what we can do together. However, I have also always wanted to work for a company that makes pork-based food in tins, so Charlotte, if you do have any contacts at SPAM, please do pass on my details!

I'd better stop spamming Adam with job leads then.... Great move on both sides. Things are really rocking, well done team.

thanks Charlotte. We're really heartened by the response to the news. Here's to the future :) - Alex

Congratulations to you both ... I have known you both for a long time and I know that you are well suited. Good luck. Mark

Many thanks. Things just kinda seemed to fall into place - so whilst I'm not a fatalist, it did all seem to be a bit too good to be true. Still, now the hard work... ummmm... continues ;-). Cheers...Alex

Alex,
This is a great blog and we are so happy to see our focus on customer service traveled overseas. We feel that if we focus on the best customer service possible everything else will fall into place. Our customer service defines who we are as a company and our employees deliver it every day!

You mentioned the culture book and I would like to offer you one if you email me your address.

If you ever make it stateside please come in for a visit.

Thanks again Alex for the great blog and the kind words about Zappos.
